Remarks by the Patron in Chief PSPFA

H.E. Mr. Ahmad Abdel Rehman Mohamad
Charged' Affaires, Embassy of Sudan, Islamabad

It really gives me immense honor and great pleasure to address such distinguished gathering on such auspicious occasion of establishing and inauguration of PSPFA. It was a dream; we have worked hard for the last one and half year to realize. It’s indeed a historical day to establish such association in Pakistan and therefore, today is one of my happiest moments living in Pakistan. I believe that people of Sudan and Pakistan will prosper together. I once again thank to all of the dignitaries, members of PSPFA and especially Sudanese community in Pakistan to join us in today’s ceremony.

Remarks by the Vice President PSPFA

Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali
Chairman, MUSLIM Institute

I would like to express my gratitude to the Embassy of Sudan to collaborate with MUSLIM Institute for establishing the PSPFA. Especial thank to all the participants for joining us in today’s ceremony. The idea of this association was put forwarded in a Seminar "Sudan: Current & Future Prospect" organized by MUSLIM Institute. After that we have been working with former ambassador H.E Shafi Ahmad Muhammad and H.E the present ambassador of Sudan in Pakistan, and today that dream has been materialized. There are good people-to-people relations between two countries and through formation of this Association we expect to strengthen these ties which will pave the way of further strengthening the mutual cooperation, understanding, brotherhood and harmony. There is dire need of cooperation between people having same world view but living in different regions in order to share the ideas, experiences, expertise as well as resources to progress in the global village. Through this association, we hope to play our part to work in the areas like education, research and analysis, trade and industry, agriculture and others. Similarly the networking between different organizations and institutions of two countries can play an effective role to realize these ideas and open up new opportunities. I hope that this forum will play an effective role in building good relations between both brother Islamic countries and to improve co-operation among the people.

Remarks by the President PSPFA

Senator Raja Zafar ul Haq
Leader of the house in Senate of Pakistan, Secretary General Motamar Al-Alam Al-Islami

It is very important occasion which has given a shape to our feelings towards each other. Sudan had won its freedom by giving sacrifices of its young people. After getting their freedom, they are marching ahead towards their goal of prosperity and integrity. Their leadership has come out of a number of difficulties and challenges during the last two decades. There is a large scope of the development of bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Sudan. Sudan is in a way a gateway to Africa and if we have good trade and economic relations with Sudan, it will benefit not only Sudan and Pakistan but the whole of Africa. The overall umbrella of OIC would also be strengthened by bilateral relationship. All the brother ambassadors who are present here, they are in fact participating in a brotherly fashion for the cause of Muslims and for the cause of Asia and Africa. Love and affections of the people of Sudan towards people of Pakistan strengthens our belief that by marching together we can help each other in the fields of agriculture, strategic relationship, economic wellbeing, joint ventures etc.

Remarks by the Chief Guest

H.E Abdul Ghani Enaim
Undersecretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan

It gives me a great pleasure and honor to be with you in Pakistan, the land of great Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. We are very thankful to the Senator (Raja Zafar Ul Haq) and especially to Chairman MUSLIM institute for their commitment to support the Sudan Pakistan relations. Formation of this Association is very timely because there is greater scope of cooperation in the area of business, education, science and technology etc. We as Sudanese look at Pakistan as an example and hope because Pakistan managed to survive and surmount many difficulties. The institutes and embassies of Pakistan are always open towards us, which is very encouraging. Although it is people’s association but we as a government, will give every possible support to enable it to do its work in the best possible way. There are some difficulties we have in our region but Sudan is contributing its best in order to become a regional stabilizer, to help in the peace process in different countries. We are an Afro-Arab country located on the Red sea, near to the Mediterranean and surrounded by seven countries and there will be nine if we include Kenya and Uganda. Thus Sudan is gateway to Africa. Sudanese will be more than happy to receive Pakistanis and will welcome them.

Participants of the ceremony congratulate the MUSLIM Institute and Embassy of Sudan in Islamabad for establishing the association and expressed good wishes for its greater success as well as offered their cooperation.
