A Walk on Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5th Feb 2020

MUSLIM Institute organized a Kashmir Solidarity Walk on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from China Chowk to National Press Club, Islamabad in solidarity with Kashmiris. Purpose of the walk was to raise voice against brutal lockdown of Jammu & Kashmir since August 5, 2019 and resolution of Kashmir issue. Participants of the walk were holding placards and banners highlighting siege of Kashmir by Indian forces, atrocities of Fascist Modi Government, tribute for the struggle of Kashmiris, solidarity with them, condemning state terrorism and especially illegal demographic terrorism to suppress the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.

Thousands of Pakistanis showed Solidarity with Martyrs of Christchurch

Pakistanis once again made history today. To spread the true message of Islam, that is, "Islam is peace," more than twenty thousand people from across the country came together to shape themselves as a mosque at the Shrine of Hadrat Sultan Bahoo, Shorkot, Pakistan. People shaped themselves as Al-Noor Mosque Christchurch, New Zealand to pay homage to the victims of the last month's terrorist attacks in Christchurch New Zealand. The solidarity event for martyrs of Christchurch incident was organized by MUSLIM Institute, a research based think-tank. The event formally began by recitation of Holy Quran. While addressing the participants, Chairman MUSLIM Institute Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali said that the event is organized in solidarity with the martyrs of Christchurch to mark one month since the horrific tragedy took place. Through this peaceful expression of solidarity, people have given a strong message to the whole world that Islam is religion of peace. He further stated that such peaceful and huge expression has indeed proven the narrative of Muslims maintaining their peaceful society and cooperation among civilizations despite the rise of extreme tendencies in different parts of the world.

A Walk on Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5th Feb 2018

MUSLIM Institute organized a walk on Kashmir Solidarity Day from Kalsoom Plaza to China Chowk Blue Area Islamabad on February 05, 2018. A large number of people from different walks of life including civil society, political and social sector, students, lawyers and journalists participated. Head of department of center of policy studies COMSATS, Former Ambassador Ms. Fozia Nasreen, Leader of APCH Abdul Hameed Lone, Mr. Altaf Wani, Former Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Ms. Farzana Yaqoob, and Public Relations Coordinator MUSLIM Institute Mr. Tahir Mahmood led the walk. Participants of walk were carrying placards inscribed with slogans of condemnation of state terrorism by India, Kashmiris’ right of self-determination, appreciation for their freedom struggle, solidarity with them, and urging international community to play its due role for resolution of the long outstanding issue and fulfill its pledges made with Kashmiri people.

MUSLIM Institute organized a rally from China Chowk to National Press Club Islamabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day, February 05, 2017. Chairman MUSLIM Institute, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali, MNA & Chairman Standing Committee on Kashmir & Gilgit Baltistan, Malik Ibrar Ahmad, Leaders of All Parties Huriyyat Conference Ms. Shameem Shal, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Butt and others led the rally and shared their views. A large number of people from different walks of life including civil society, politicians, students, lawyers and journalists actively participated in the rally. Participants of rally chanted slogans while carrying placards and banners inscribed with the demands for immediate end of brutalities of Indian forces in IOK, right of self-determination for Kashmiris as well as profound tributes to their struggle for independence. They also displayed solidarity with Kashmiris and condemned state terrorism by Indian forces in the occupied territory while demanding serious efforts by international community for the settlement of the Kashmir issue.

MUSLIM Institute organized a rally on Saturday July 23, 2016 from China Chowk to National Press Club, Islamabad in solidarity with Kashmiris and to raise voice against the human rights violations and atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir by Indian security forces. Participants of rally were holding placards and banners displaying tribute for struggle of Kashmiris, solidarity with them, condemning state terrorism and especially the current wave of murders and injuries of many innocent young people and children at the hand of Indian forces. Moreover, placards inscribed with the need for the role of international human rights organization against the violence and brutality in Occupied Kashmir, the role of international community to resolve Kashmir Issue and the right of self-determination according to UN resolutions were also displayed. Chairman Senate Standing Committee for Defense Production, Lt. Gen. (R) Senator Abdul Qayyum Malik, former Senator Mr. Zafar Ali Shah, Hurriyat Leader Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Sardar Wazir Ahmed Jogezai and Mr. Altaf Wani along with large number of people from civil society, social and political personalities, former ambassadors, university teachers and students, lawyers, journalists and individuals from different walks of life participated in the rally.

‘MUSLIM Institute’ organized a rally here on Sunday, 27th October 2013 in connection with the black day as on this day the day Indian forces occupied Jammu and Kashmir in 1947. The rally registered a protest against the violation of the right of self-determination and the fundamental human rights of the Kashmiri people under the Indian occupation of the valley.
